General public assistance plays a crucial role in supporting law enforcement and public safety officials in their efforts to maintain the safety of local communities in Connecticut.

The CT Safe Mobile Application, developed in conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) and the Connecticut Intelligence Center (CTIC), provides a platform for Connecticut residents to confidentially report any suspicious activities observed in their neighborhoods. Users can select suspicious incidents from a predefined list, specify the type of activity, and then automatically generate an email to the Connecticut Intelligence Center (CTIC).

Utilizing Google Maps integration and access to the user's mobile device camera or photo library, the CT Safe Mobile Application can transmit precise location coordinates and visual evidence, aiding residents in documenting and reporting potential security concerns within their vicinity.
